I got a call this morning from Chad while I was pulling out of the grocery store parking lot. He had a very charged up-beat tone in his voice...I was curious what he was calling about. I was not expecting to hear what I did...,"guess what?...I got an email from the University of Chicago they have extended me an invitation to interview." At this moment all I could do was say congratulations, you deserve it and then I burst into tears. I was totally overcome by emotions...happy, relieved and thankful!
Happy: because he has worked so hard on his schooling (in the past), his work and most recently the applications for each one of these schools.
Relieved: that he is starting to hear from these schools and my life will not be in limbo much longer. The end is in sight.
Thankful: that he heard from this top school. Chad has always wanted to go back to school and would be honored to attend a school like the U of Chicago. I'm also thankful that his hard work has paid off!
Please continue to say your prayers and keep your fingers crossed that this interview (and others) become invitations for admissions!
