Hooray for cake...

Party Boy

Jackson has been celebrating his birthday since August 8th...that is twenty-one days of "all about Jackson," so he thinks. We had a lovely brunch with the Minnesota clan. The cake was done by my sister Ellen's bakery...it was delicious. The kids were loud, the adults laughed and everyone enjoyed the company!

How can he be 3?

We had a great day yesterday. Jackson picked out all his meals and activities for the day. He was insistent on Macaroni and Cheese and a cupcake from my sister Ellen's bakery. Ellen and the bakery owner put a candle in the cupcake and sang Happy Birthday...Jackson was all grins. His brother enjoyed the treats too!

And he's off...

Chad started school yesterday. Sounds like he is going to be really busy but is definitely looking forward to the task at hand! I took these pictures right before he walked out the door. After he left Jackson told me, "Daddy looks really pretty." I told him, "yes Daddy dresses up very nicely and he's very handsome." At which point he told me he was handsome too..."like Daddy because we got dimples."

First Breakfast

We are unpacked...well almost. I have a few boxes to get to, but the house is "livable." I finished the laundry/mud room today which feels great. I cannot thank my family enough for all their help. It's really hard moving with two children...I tell no lie! Chad is off to his big day tomorrow, day one of school. I'm really excited for him and a wee bit jealous. Now for me...off to bed!
